Setting up Stock Takes by Pimsical

Ensuring you've got accurate inventory and stock levels in your stores is key to a great customer experience and to your businesses cash flow!

To help you maintain accurate inventory and stock levels, we've made running regular stock takes a breeze. Here is a quick guide to getting set up.

Setup

Firstly install Stock Takes by Pimsical app on your Shopify store. You've got a 30 day free trial, to get started and run your first stock takes!


Get started today

Admin

Once installed, you'll then see our Admin page.

From here you can create stock takes, view their progress and action the stock takes to update inventory in Shopify. This is where you can go to manage all your stock takes across all your locations.

POS

You use POS to run and participate in a stock take, scanning in your stock which is saved in our system until the stock take is actioned. You'll need to add our Stock Take app to your Shopify POS homescreen.

Follow the steps below to add the tile. You will only need to do this once.

  1. Ensure you have the Shopify POS app installed on your Apple or Android device.
  2. Once logged in, click "Add Tile +"
  3. Click on "App"
  4. Click on "Stock Take (Inventory Count)"
  5. Click "Add" on the App Extension section
  6. Click "Save" to add the tile

From here you can create stock takes for the a POS location.

Most importantly you can join a stock take, which has been created and participate by scanning products from your Shopify POS device.

We support any scanners connected to your Shopify POS devices, whether it is the camera on your phone or a physical scanner.
