Replenishment Limits - migrating from Shopify Stocky

Are you fed up with spending hours figuring out what needs to be stocked in your retail stores, managing inventory manually inside of Shopify? Using replenishment limits in Stock Takes by Pimsical that becomes a breeze.

We can use transfers and replenishment limits to automatically generate what items we need to be stocked in the store, using maximum and minimum limits to ensure we've always got the right stock in the right location when it's needed.

Replenishment limits can be set by default for all products at a location, in bulk using our file upload or managed on an individual product variant in Shopify Admin or Shopify POS.

Default Replenishment Limits

To set default replenishment limits for all products that are stocked at a location, you can open the Replenishments page and view a location, which allows the default minimum and maximum limits to be set for all products stocked at a location.

Importing Replenishment Limits

If you have a large number of products and need to set specific replenishment limits for each product variant at a location, you can use our CSV import feature to bulk upload your limits. You can use the Shopify product variant id, SKU or barcode to identify the item, when uploading the minimum and maximum limits for each product variant at the location. When setting the replenishment limits on a product variant, this will override any default limits that have been set for the location.

Setting Replenishment Limits on a product variant

You can also set replenishment limits on an individual product variant at a location; this can be done in Shopify Admin or directly in Shopify POS.

In Shopify Admin, navigate to the product variant you want to set the limits for, click "More Actions" on the top right and select "Set Replenishment Limits". Here you can set, update or remove the minimum and maximum limits for the product variant for the chosen location.

In Shopify POS, navigate to the product variant you want to set the limits for, select "Set Replenishment Limits" option from the menu. Here you can set, update or remove the minimum and maximum limits for the product variant for the location you are currently logged into.

If you do not see this option, you will need to enable our Replenishment Limits extension in the Shopify POS app in Shopify Admin.

When setting the replenishment limits on a product variant, this will override any default limits that have been set for the location.

Generating Transfers

Once you have set your replenishment limits, you can create a transfer and then in our app, click "Add Items" and then 'Generate Items'. Here you can generate a list of items that need to be transferred to the location based on the current inventory levels and the replenishment limits that have been set. You can also filter this down to a specific vendor or product tag. You will get an email when this has been completed and you can then review the list of items, making any adjustments to the quantities if needed, before marking the transfer as ‘ready’.
